BOUNDARY LAYER FLOW OF NANOFLUID ON UNSTEADY A STRETCHING SHEET THROUGH POROUS MEDIA

Abstracts

A numerical model is developed to study unsteady boundary layer flow with temperature dependent viscosity, heat transfer and nanoparticle fraction over a stretching sheet in a nanofluid embedded in porous media. The governing equations reduced to similarity boundary layer equations using suitable transformations and then solved using the Runge-Kutta numerical integration, procedure in conjunction with shooting technique. Numerical results are presented in terms of local skin friction coefficient, local Nusselt and local Sherwood numbers for various values of the variable viscosity ε, Brownian motion number Nb, thermophoresis number Nt, unsteady parameter A and Darcy number Da. The effect of variation in ε, Nt, A, Da and Nb on the dimensionless velocity, temperature and concentration distribution are also depicted graphically.
