AWARENESS OF JORDANIAN TEACHERS ABOUT THE PROBLEMS FACING THE JORDANIAN PUBLIC SCHOOLS ENROLLING SYRIAN REFUGEES

Abstracts

This study aimed to identify the awareness of Jordanian teachers about the problems facing the Jordanian public schools enrolling Syrian refugees. The study’s population consists of all the Jordanian teachers working in the Jordanian public schools enrolling Syrian refugees. Workers in the public schools were subjected to the authority of the first directorate of education of Irbid. The researcher designed a questionnaire. After that, the questionnaire forms were distributed to the study’s sample to collect the required data.

 

The researcher concluded the following results:

 

A)- The awareness of Jordanian teachers about the problems facing the Jordanian public schools while enrolling Syrian refugees is moderate.

B)-  Teachers’ awareness about the problems are classified in the descending order according to the aspect they belong to:

 

1)-   Cooperation between the teachers in the aforementioned schools parents

2)-   Teachers

3)-   Equipment

4)-   Students

5)    The interaction between teachers and students

 

C)-  There were no statistically significant differences – at the significance level of (α ˂ .05) between the awareness levels of Jordanian teachers about the problems facing the Jordanian public schools enrolling Syrian refugees which can be attributed to their gender, academic qualification and experience when analyzing each one separately. However, there were two statistically significant differences– at the significance level of (α ˂ .05) – b in interaction of the variables of gender and academic qualification on the field of equipment.
