ENTROPY GENERATION AND DISSIPATIVE EFFECTS ON COUETTE FLOW THROUGH POROUS MEDIUM UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALIGNED MAGNETIC FIELD IN THE PRESENCE OF THERMAL RADIATION AND TEMPERATURE DEPENDENT HEAT SOURCE

Abstracts

The aim of this paper is to study the entropy generation in steady Couette flow through porous medium under the influence of aligned magnetic field in the presence of temperature dependent heat source, thermal radiation, viscous dissipation and joules dissipation. The entropy generation is estimated through an analytical solution of the temperature and velocity profiles obtained from the momentum and energy equations governing the flow and heat transfer of the problem. The influences of the pertinent parameters on the fluid velocity, temperature, entropy generation and Bejan number are discussed graphically in detail.
